![]() Till then, I will stick with the setup I have.įor now, Enpass will stay installed so that I can follow it more easily, but will mostly be un-used till KeyFiles are allowed. IF, Enpass provides a feature to include a keyfile that can be stored elsewhere (Locally, Network, or Cloud services), I may reconsider. Passkeep, I hope will eventually have a WP App, or 7pass get a W8.x appĪnd whichever one is more promising, is the one I will go with.įor now there are some minor issues with that setup, but they are not horrible.Įdit the database in KeePass and re-upload to cloud, then you can reopen on other devices. You can not open that file without the keyfile, so, this is far more secure. I can then store my database on one cloud service and a keyfile on a different one. Let that be my choice.Īs in, for now, I use KeePass along with 7pass for WP8.1 and PassKeep for W8.x The third-party cloud-account option is standard for Enpass Read/write support for These codes can From the KeePassXC website: KeePass 1Password, LastPass KeePass. I will gladly pay for an app that get's regular support and updates, one that does not require me to save all my data to someone else's servers. Nor pay some yearly subscription fee for it. I will not use anything like LastPass, where all your data is stored on their servers.Ĭan you really be so sure they don't have access to all your data? This does make for a very useful over all database. So, I did download Enpass, and took a look, it's interesting, and I do like a lot of the templates they have. There are also App's that use KeePass DB's so that you can just update KeePass and upload to OneDrive, or wherever and they also allow you to use a KeyFile, I find that far more essential than simply a Master Password. That reason is, the DB's are store locally, not one their servers, and only on a cloud service if you want to. There is a reason to using something like Enpass. I'll open a feature request (if one doesn't exist already) for the ability of the user to Add additional Categories. For the record. ![]() Kind of like a different view of the same data. Folders can exist but they are merely reference pointers to the actual items contained in the set of Categories. This is different that other products I have worked seems that EVERYTHING (as in every item) must first be assigned to a Category. Update #2: Okay, I think I have an understanding now. However when moving from any Category to any Folder, a Copy function rather than a Move function is performed. Moving items from Folder A to Folder B works fine. Update #1: With further testing it seems that moving items from Category A to Category B works fine. Further Imports just keep piling up in the Import Category creating a bigger and bigger unorganized mess.Īppreciate any help you can offer.would like to find a way to MOVE items into folders, or to be able to specify a target folder when performing the Import (rather than just dumping into the Import Category). I tried syncing, exiting and restarting but nothing changes the behavior. It seems to be simply creating a reference pointer to the item rather than creating a COPY of the Item or reassigning the item(s) to the target folder as desired. This behavior seems different than what is documented in the Manual in regard to Drag&Drop.Īny subsequent attempts to delete the items from the Import Category deletes the item both in Import and in the target folder. The Import process works fine but when I move the Imported items into the target folder from the Import Category, it does not actually MOVE them from "Import" but instead appears to create a copy of the Item in the target folder. My plan was to Import the text file, move the items into a named folder from the Import Category, Delete those items from "Import" and then go on to the next text file Import. txt files, creating a single text file for each eWallet folder. I broke an eWallet Text Export into separate eWallet. I'm importing several hundred items from eWallet and having some difficulty. I'm a new user - really like Enpass so far.
